Riva1920: Solid wood design furniture No one loves wood as much as we do. No one works with wood the way we do.
Riva1920 modern wood furniture is built on preservation, deep respect for nature: with a collection that balances sustainability and quality. Among the most frequently used materials, traditional woods strike the perfect harmony between refinement and practicality, making the Riva1920 collection available to a wider audience—without ever compromising the brand’s high standards.
The selection of walnut, oak, cherry, and teak comes exclusively from sustainably managed forests, ensuring responsible sourcing that protects the environment and supports future generations. Expertly crafted by our artisans, these premium woods provide the most accessible entry point into the Riva1920 universe, allowing customers to experience the exceptional quality of our products.
Our story began in 1920 in Cantù, at the heart of Brianza, in a small artisan workshop founded by Nino Romano, grandfather of our current CEO and President, Maurizio Riva. With the arrival of the third generation in the 1990s, Riva1920 embarked on a journey of growth and innovation, becoming a symbol of excellence in Italian-made solid wood design. Today, the company is led by Maurizio Riva alongside his daughters, Monica and Elena, representing the fourth generation.
To produce with honesty and flexibility, passing down our craftsmanship to future generations by creating solid wood furniture that stands the test of time—always with the utmost respect for the environment.
This philosophy guides and inspires every action we take at Riva1920.
